Dr. Anthony R. Morice, PsyD

Dr. Anthony R. Morice, PsyD is one of California's leading voices in the psychological treatment of addiction. He founded The Freedom Clinic to offer the kind of care he wished had existed when he first entered the field 13 years ago — care that treats addiction not as a moral failure or a symptom to suppress, but as a signal from a psyche asking to be understood.

His clinical approach integrates every major evidence-based framework for addiction and trauma — motivational interviewing, CBT, relapse prevention, harm reduction — with the depth of classical psychoanalysis. That combination is rare, and it is what allows lasting change instead of white-knuckled abstinence.

It is all too easy in this world to let our suffering go unspoken. Between the demands of productivity, the roles we play in our personal relationships, and a society that constantly floods us with images of who we should be, it is difficult to find our own voice. Instead, we become mired in anxiety, depression, addictions, and other patterns that disrupt the life we envision.

For over a decade Dr. Morice has had the privilege of witnessing hundreds of transformations — people from every walk of life courageously facing their suffering and creating lasting change. Most of his clients begin seeing symptoms lift within the first month of treatment.

His style is genuine, warm, and curious. If you believe he could be a fit, reach out for a free 15-minute consultation.

Associate Marriage & Family Therapist

Isaac Goodman, AMFT

Isaac is an associate therapist with The Freedom Clinic. He works with individuals, couples, and families facing addiction, anxiety, trauma, and the quieter overwhelm many high-functioning people carry beneath the surface.

His work is grounded in trauma-informed care and parts-oriented therapy. Through relational, somatic, and experiential approaches, he moves at a pace that honors your nervous system and lived experience — helping you reconnect with clarity, self-trust, and choice.

Isaac sees clients in-person at the San Francisco office and via secure telehealth throughout California. Supervised by Dr. Anthony R. Morice, PsyD, he brings the same integrated psychoanalytic and evidence-based tradition to every session.

Free 15-minute consultations available. A sliding scale is offered to support access across a range of financial situations — reach out if cost feels like a barrier.

Darcy Ford, AMFT, APCC

Life can become heavy and difficult to navigate. The strategies that once helped you cope may no longer quiet the anxiety, loneliness, or inner conflicts you are experiencing. You may find yourself struggling with emotions you cannot yet put into words, feeling disconnected from yourself or others, or wondering why familiar patterns continue to repeat.

As an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), I bring both clinical training and a background in recruiting high-performing professionals. This experience has given me a deep appreciation for the complexities of being human, not only in our relationships and personal lives but also in the expectations and pressures we endure.

I have experience supporting both children and adults as they explore their emotions, relationships, sense of self, and the experiences that have shaped them. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theories, complemented by other evidence-informed approaches based on each client's needs.

I offer a warm, compassionate, and contained therapeutic space where we can slow down and explore what may be beneath the surface. Together, we can bring greater awareness to unconscious feelings, relationship patterns, and past experiences that may be influencing how you think, feel, and behave — providing an opportunity to not only manage symptoms, but develop a deeper understanding of yourself and create meaningful change.
